BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 2. The US-Azerbaijani Youth Forum was held at George Washington University, Trend reports.

The forum was attended by the university students and professors, as well as Azerbaijani students and professors from 21 states and cities across the US and Azerbaijani diplomats working in Washington.

The event began with the national anthems of Azerbaijan and the US, followed by a moment of silence to honor the martyrs who gave their lives for the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan.

Chairman of the Azerbaijani Students Association at George Washington University Kanan Mammadov, President of the Azerbaijani-American Youth Association Nabat Eminova, and Social Media Director at the Azerbaijani-American Youth Federation Leyla Aslanova delivered welcome speeches.

Deputy Chairman of the State Committee for Work with Diaspora Elshad Aliyev spoke about the committee's activities, projects, Azerbaijani Houses operating abroad, coordination councils, and the V Diaspora Youth Camp held in Lachin in August.

He emphasized the importance of collaborative efforts by Azerbaijani youth and students living in the US.

Chairperson of the American-Azerbaijani Organizations Alliance, Munavvar Vahabova, and Professor at George Washington University, Sevinj Mammadova, highlighted the importance of the forum and the usefulness of the discussions.

They noted that such events would strengthen existing relations between Azerbaijan and the US and wished the participants success.

Reyhan Jamalova, studying computer science at the University of Pennsylvania, expressed her satisfaction with participating in the forum and exchanging views with fellow Azerbaijanis who have achieved success in the US.

Asmar Bayramova, a student at the Georgia Institute of Technology on a state scholarship, said she's proud to sing the Azerbaijani anthem and see the flag flying in one of the world's most significant countries. She noted that the interaction among fellow Azerbaijanis at the forum was a positive event.

Ulvi Verdiyev, engaged in individual entrepreneurship in the mining industry in the US, remarked that Azerbaijani compatriots studying and working in various states of the country represent Azerbaijan with dignity.

Farid Akhundov, who received education in the US and attended a forum in New York, talked about the positive impact of such forums on the future activities of youth.

The event featured discussions and exchanges on various topics, presentations of videos, and group reports on the work done by the committee and the diaspora.

Panel discussions were held on topics such as "Youth Integration through Education", "New Generation of American Azerbaijanis: My World, My Soul, My Expectations", "Dream, Believe, Achieve: Youth Unity for Change", and more.

A video titled "Lesson of History", dedicated to the martyrs and the V Diaspora Youth Camp in Lachin, was also shown.

The forum continued with a cultural segment featuring national music and dances.

The event ended with the presentation of diplomas to participants and the screening of a video clip titled "Together".
