The first caravan of buses with Azerbaijan pilgrims returning from hajj is expected to cross the Azerbaijan borders tonight, a source in the Caucasus Muslims Department told Trend.
According to the source, the second caravan is expected to arrive in the country tomorrow.
Most part of the pilgrims chose the airflyghts as a way of pilgrimage have already been in Medina, the second holy Muslim city. The first plane with the pilgrims returned to the country last Sunday. The rest are expected to return to the motherland within a week.
According to the Department, all the pilgrims are safe and healthy and feel good.
One of the Azerbaijan pilgrims turned out to be in an automobile-pedestrian accident and died. The 73-year-old pilgrim was buried in Mecca.
4,500 Azerbaijan citizens are expected to go for hajj this year. 700 seats have been granted to private tourism companies which have the corresponding license on organizing pilgrimage.
