ANKARA, Türkiye, July 4. Türkiye exported defense industry products worth $334.4 million in June 2023, which is 16.5 percent more in comparison with June last year, Trend reports.
According to the Turkish Ministry of Commerce, exports of Turkish defense industry products increased by 21.6 percent from January through June of this year compared to the same period last year and amounted to $2.4 billion.
Meanwhile, over the past 12 months (from June 2022 through June 2023), Türkiye exported defense industry products worth $4.8 billion.
Türkiye's foreign trade turnover from January through April 2023 amounted to $205.1 billion.
Türkiye's exports amounted to $80.8 billion in the first quarter of 2023, which is 3 percent less compared to the same quarter last year, and imports increased by 7.1 percent in comparison with the same period last year to $124.3 billion.
