ASTANA, Kazakhstan, February 11. We are implementing intelligent land management systems and extracting valuable information from huge data to digitize agriculture, said Dmitriy Mun, Vice Minister of Digital Development, Innovation, and Aerospace Industry, at a government meeting, Trend reports.

The vice minister also reported on the ongoing work in the digitalization of the agricultural sector. He noted that digitalization helps use land more efficiently and eases the work of farmers.

“We are implementing intelligent land management systems to achieve this goal. We extract valuable information from big data. This results in a growing economy, and products reach the consumer faster and easier,” Dimitriy Mun noted.

According to Dmitry Mun, the "Zher Inspector" (Land Inspector) system has been launched, which includes the following measures: Satellite monitoring has been introduced, and now the entire country's territory is under control; Landowners receive automatic notifications via SMS and personal accounts; A unified database has been created, accessible to all government agencies.

"Currently, 116 million hectares of agricultural land are under monitoring. Since 2022, 12 million hectares of land have been returned to state ownership due to inefficient use. In 2025, it is planned to return another 2 million hectares. Five million hectares of agricultural land have been redistributed to local residents," Dmitriy Mun said.

To note, the Ministry of Agriculture of Kazakhstan currently provides 93 government services, of which 98 percent are available online. More than 2.6 million e-services will be provided in 2024.
