BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 5. The total transaction volume through the National Payment Systems (AZİPS, XÖNKS, AÖS) exceeded 70 billion manat ($41.1 billion), with over 14 million transactions conducted in January 2025.
Data obtained by Trend from the Central Bank of Azerbaijan shows that this marks an increase of 5.7 percent in transaction volume and 16.2 percent in the number of transactions compared to the same period last year.
In the first month of the current year, under the Real-Time Gross Settlement (RTGS) mode of the Interbank National Settlement System (AZİPS), over 117,000 transactions were completed, amounting to approximately 66.8 billion manat ($39.2 billion).
The Small Payments Settlement and Clearing System (XÖNKS) processed over 14.1 million transactions totaling 4.1 billion manat ($2.4 billion).
Meanwhile, the Instant Payment System (AÖS) facilitated over 72,000 transactions, amounting to nearly 88 million manat ($51.7 billion).
