ASTANA, Kazakhstan, May 8. Chairman of the Board of KazMunayGas JSC, Askhat Khassenov met with the Ambassador of the State of Libya in Kazakhstan, Alaaddin Lehwaik, and discussed the prospects of strengthening cooperation between the countries in the oil and gas sector, Trend reports.
“KazMunayGas is open to dialogue and ready to develop
cooperation with Libyan colleagues in all areas, including
training, professional development, and exchanging experiences
between oil and gas industry specialists. I am confident that our
cooperation will contribute to strengthening the economic ties
between Kazakhstan and Libya,” emphasized Khassenov.
In turn, Alaaddin Lehwaik expressed his willingness to intensify
contacts aimed at expanding bilateral cooperation and noted the
high potential for interaction between the two countries in the
energy sector.
Thanks to significant resource reserves, the Arab state occupies a key position in the global energy market. Libya has extensive experience in developing oil and gas infrastructure, including exploration, extraction, transportation, and processing of hydrocarbons.
