Media: German EWC examines investing in Caspian Sea resort Avaza

German EWC (East West Connect GmbH & Co.KG) examines the possible investing in Turkmenistan in the development of the Caspian Sea resort Avaza, the national TV channel Altyn Asyr reported.

According to the information, Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdymuhammedov received the EWC head Rudi Lamprecht. "The views about the prospects for cooperation on a number of directions were exchanged given the priorities of state development of Turkmenistan, including the company's participation in investing some projects in the national tourist zone Avaza.

Moreover, a question was raised about the progress of joint projects and the implementation of instructions. New proposals were voiced to expand business partnership

The total cost of the projects implemented in Avaza exceeds $1.5 billion. This amount is paid off from the state budget of Turkmenistan. The project aims to effectively use natural resources of the sea coast, to realize rich tourist potential and to create comfortable conditions for recreation.

Avaza is the first free economic zone, focused on the development of the tourism industry in Turkmenistan. The local and foreign companies, working here, investors, investing in construction of resorts and socio-economic facilities, the hotel business, the range of services, are provided with significant tax and customs benefits and preferential conditions for implementation of joint projects.
