The number of profitable banks in Azerbaijan amounted to 31 in February 2011. The figure increased by 2 compared to early 2011 and reduced by 1 unit compared to February 2010, the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) said.
Total profits in the banking sector hit 28.39 million manat. It is two times more compared to January 2010.
The number of unprofitable banks reduced by two units compared to January and by one bank per year. As a result, the loss of 1 3 banks amounted to 10.26 million manat, or 3 6.4 percent less for January.
