Iran’s Ports and Maritime Organization, as well as two Iranian companies signed a contract worth 900 billion rials (about $21.4 million), Trend reports referring to the organization.
The contract was signed between director of the Amirabad port Siyavesh Rizvani and director of the Iranian Ard Nemone Joybar Company Ghulam Asgar Behzad in Iran’s northern Mazandaran province.
Other contract was signed between chairman of Iran’s Ports and Maritime Organization Mohammad Rastad and director of the Iran Aviation Technology Development Commission Manoochehr Manteghi.
Rastad said that nine investment agreements worth 55 trillion rials (about $1.3 billion) were signed with the private companies over the past year.
“Iran's Ports and Maritime Organization supports the domestic production,” chairman of Iran’s Ports and Maritime Organization added. “In this regard, 768 pieces of ship spare parts were provided by local producers.”
Rastad said that the outflow of funds worth $14.5 million was prevented.
