Iran has signed 12 agreements on domestic production of necessary equipment for iron and steel production, Trend reports citing Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization (IMIDRO).
The agreements were signed among the Iranian Mobarakeh Steel Company, Khouzestan Oxin Steel Company, Ahvaz Pipe Industrial Company, Esfahan Steel Company, International Systems and Automation Engineering Company, Sharif University of Technology, Chadormalu Mining and Industrial Company, Heavy Equipment Production Company, Sirjan Steel World Company, Iranian Mine and Mineral Industries Construction Company (IMICO), and Khouzestan Steel Company.
According to the report, with the domestic production of the needed equipment, about 318 million euro will be saved.
Under the agreements, pipes used in the oil and gas industry, equipment, including pumps and etc. used in steel and iron production, will be manufactured domestically.
