The volume of Iran's gas condensate export to the foreign countries through the Pars Special Economic Energy Zone (PSEEZ) Customs increased by 58 percent to over $5.912 billion, PSEEZ Customs Head Ahmed Heydarpur was quoted as saying by BENA. The figure increased by 88 percent to more than 9.766 million tons during the 11 months of 2010. The Iranian New Year begins in March 21.
Heydarpur said more than 6.955 million tons of non-oil products worth $4.576 billion was exported to foreign countries in this period. The figure increased by 21 percent in the volume and 47in value compared to the same period last year.
Iran imported roughly 319,918 tons of goods worth over $1.533 billion through PSEEZ Customs during this period, Heydarpur added.
Earlier Iran's Pars and Oil Gas Company (POGC) Managing Director Mousa Souri said gas condensates export from the South Pars gas fields reached 7.530 million cubic meters, worth $4.338 billion during the first 9 months of 2010.
This shows an increase of 67 percent in the volume and 93 percent in the value compared to the same period of last year, Souri stressed.
During the report time, more than 12.230 million tons of petrochemical products including light and heavy linear Polyethylene, gas condensates, Propane, Butane and Benzene worth $7.22 billion was exported through PSEEZ Customs, which shows an increase of 29 percent in the value and 52 percent in the volume compared to the same period last year, Souri added.
