OPEC reduces forecasts on oil supplies from non-OPEC countries

Oil supplied by countries-non-OPEC members will increase by 0.6 million barrels per day - up to 52.83 million barrels per day this year. These forecasts are contained in the OPEC's August report on oil market. The current forecast on oil supply by these countries is 50,000 barrels per day less than the level of growth forecasted by them last month.

Lowering the predictions is associated with the data on deliveries from Canada, Norway, UK, Malaysia and Vietnam, which were less than the expected level.

According to OPEC, oil supplied by the countries of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) will be increased by 80,000 barrels per day - up to 20.03 million barrels per day this year or 25,000 barrels per day higher than forecasted by OPEC last month..

Oil production in the U.S. is projected at 15.28 million barrels per day in 2011 or 0.32 million barrels per day more than the production levels in 2010.

According to the OPEC forecasts, the countries of the former Soviet Union will supply 13.36 million barrels per day in 2011 or 0.13 million barrels per day more than in 2010.

According to OPEC forecasts, in 2012, the oil supply by countries outside the cartel will increase by 0.73 million barrels per day to 53.57 million barrels per day.

Deliveries of crude oil by OECD countries next year will amount to 20.13 million barrels per day, the volume of oil supplies by former Soviet states is projected at 13.46 million barrels per day.
World oil supply
According to OPEC estimates, in July the volume of world oil supplies increased by 0.8 million barrels per day - up to 88,33 million barrels per day.
Oil supplies by non-OPEC countries last month increased by 0.39 million barrels per day.

OPEC oil production increased by 0.4 million barrels per day - up to 30.07 million barrels per day last month.

OPEC's share in total world oil supply remained unchanged last month - at 34 percent.
Demand for crude oil produced by OPEC countries will increase by 0.2 million barrels per day in 2011 and 2012 to 30 million and 30.2 million barrels per day, respectively.
World oil demand

OPEC forecasts an increase global oil demand by 1.21 million barrels per day - up to 88.14 million barrels per day in 2011.

In the third quarter, global oil demand is projected at 89.28 million barrels per day, the fourth - 89.5 million barrels per day.

Roughly 46.12 million barrels a day of the total oil demand will fall to the OECD countries this year. In the U.S., oil demand will amount to 23.81 million barrels per day in 2011.

According to OPEC forecasts, oil demand in the countries of the former Soviet Union will increase by 0.08 million - up to 4.23 million barrels per day in 2011.

Demand for oil in China will increase by 0.58 million barrels per day - up to 9.53 million barrels per day in 2011.

According to OPEC forecasts, in 2012, the world oil demand will grow by 1.3 million barrels per day to 89.44 million barrels per day. The highest level of global oil demand next year will occur in the fourth quarter - 90.73 million barrels per day. In the first quarter of 2012, the demand will be 88.84 million barrels per day, the second - 87.57 million barrels per day, in the third quarter - 90.58 million barrels per day.

Oil demand in OECD countries next year will grow by 0.03 million to 46.14 million barrels per day. Oil demand in China in 2012 will amount to 10.05 million barrels per day.
Global economy

OPEC forecasts world economic growth at 3.7 percent in 2011 and 4.0 percent in 2012. The U.S. economy will grow this year by 1.8 percent. The economic growth in 2011will hit 1.8 percent in OECD countries, in the euro area - 2 percent, in 2012 - 2.2 and 1.4 percent respectively.
