BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 7. The volume of gas production at Azerbaijan's Shah Deniz gas condensate field is expected to reach 27.1 billion cubic meters in 2024, a source in the country’s oil and gas industry told Trend.

Additionally, condensate production is projected to hit 4.1 million tons by the end of this year.

As of May 1, 2024, the field has produced a total of 218.3 billion cubic meters of gas and 45.9 million tons of condensate. During this period, 155.2 billion cubic meters of gas were exported.

The production capacity of the existing Shah Deniz facilities is currently about 79.5 million standard cubic meters of gas per day, or approximately 29 billion standard cubic meters per year.

The shares of participation in Shah Deniz are distributed as follows: bp (operator - 29.99%), SGC (21.02%), LUKOIL (19.99%), TPAO (19.00%), and NICO (10.00%). Recently, the Hungarian company MVM acquired 5 percent of Azerbaijan's share in the project.
