BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 15. In June 2024, Azerbaijan welcomed 38,329 tourists from Türkiye, marking a 13 percent increase compared to the same period in 2023, Trend reports.
According to the State Tourism Agency of Azerbaijan, 33,992 tourists from Türkiye visited Azerbaijan in the same period last year.
From January through June of this year, Azerbaijan welcomed 213,617 tourists from Türkiye, marking a 21 percent increase compared to the same period in 2023 (176,470 people).
A total of 1,231,104 foreigners visited Azerbaijan in the reporting period of the current year, which is a 34 percent increase compared to the same period in 2023 (919,296).
In 2023, 2,086,548 foreign citizens visited Azerbaijan, marking a 30.2 percent increase over 2022 (1,602,600), including 378,204 visitors from Türkiye, which represents a 21.27 percent increase over 2022 (311,880).
A total of 1,957,285 tourists visited Azerbaijan from Türkiye during the period of 2017-2023 (2017 - 301,553, 2018 - 291,259, 2019 - 316,404, 2020 - 160,513, 2021 - 197,472, 2022 - 311,880 tourists, and 2023 - 378,204 tourists).
