BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 14. Last year, foreign tourists who set foot in Azerbaijan for a bit of sightseeing opened their wallets wide, racking up a whopping 3.4 billion manat (or $2 billion) in spending.
The data obtained by Trend from the State Statistics Committee shows that
this metric experienced an escalation of 964.3 million manat
($567.2 million), representing a substantial 39.5 percent uptick
relative to the 2023 benchmark.
Concurrently, the fiscal outlay of Azerbaijani nationals on
international tourism excursions in the preceding year reached 2.2
billion manat ($1.3 billion), reflecting an increment of 725.8
million manat ($427 million), or a substantial 48.6 percent surge
compared to the prior annum.
