Investments worth 159.9 billion Turkmen manats ($45.6 billion as of Oct. 13) will be directed to Turkmenistan’s oil and gas sector in the next seven years, a source in the country’s fuel and energy complex reported.
This amount is indicated in the program of social and economic development of Turkmenistan in 2018-2024.
It is expected that more than 6,900 new jobs will be created in Turkmenistan’s fuel and energy complex during the reporting period. Active development of new promising deposits is planned in the oil and gas sector of Turkmenistan.
The plan of geological and technical measures for 2018-2024 has been developed. This plan, in particular, provides for active development of new oil-rich Caspian deposits - the Northern Goturdepe, Altyguyy and Uzynada.
