BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 19. Uzbekistan exported 119,800 tons of melons (including watermelons) worth $33.2 million from January through August 2022, Trend reports via Uzbek State Statistics Committee.
The export of melons in the corresponding period increased by 50,100 tons compared to the same period in 2021.
Uzbekistan exported 82,900 tons of melons worth $22.7 million last year. In 2021, melons grown in the country were supplied to the markets of 23 countries.
