TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, July 24. Uzbekistan’s trade turnover of natural and artificial gas reached $1 billion from January through June 2024, Trend reports.
As per data from Uzbekistan’s Statistics Agency, this figure indicates a 109 percent increase compared to the same period last year ($478.4 million in January–June 2023).
Uzbekistan’s exports of natural and artificial gas amounted to $241.4 million from January through June 2024, which is 15.3 percent less than the same period last year ($278.4 million in January–June 2023).
The imports of natural and artificial gas to Uzbekistan totaled $809.5 million during this period. This indicator has increased by 304.7 percent year-on-year ($200 million in January–June 2023).
Meanwhile, the volume of natural gas production in Uzbekistan amounted to 22.3 billion cubic meters from January through June 2024, which shows a 5.5 percent decline year-on-year (23.5 billion cubic meters in January–June 2023).
At the same time, the volume of produced gas condensate reached 624,700 tons from January through June 2024. This indicator is 2.7 percent higher compared to the same period last year (608,100 tons in January–June 2023).
