Uzbekistan's plum exports decline in 9M2024

TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, November 5. Uzbekistan exported 32,300 tons of plums worth $25.9 million from January through September 2024.

Data obtained by Trend from the country's Statistics Agency indicates that the value of plum exports decreased by 34.9 percent compared to the same period last year (43,600 tons from January through September 2023) amounting to $4.1 million.

To note, Uzbekistan exported 1.4 million tons of fruits and vegetables worth $1 billion from January through September 2024. This figure increased by 7.6 percent compared to the same period last year (1.3 million tons from January through September 2023).

Exports of fruit and vegetable products accounted for 5.3 percent of Uzbekistan's total exports.

Russia accounted for the largest volume of agricultural product exports from Uzbekistan, with a total volume of 618,900 tons worth $467.3 million.
