TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, December 20. Tourist traffic from Uzbekistan from January through November 2024 totaled 5.7 million people.
The data obtained by Trend from the country's statistics agency shows that this figure increased by 31.3 percent (1.3 million people) compared to the same period last year.
The most popular tourist destination for Uzbek citizens was Kyrgyzstan, with 2.7 million visitors. In second place was Tajikistan, with 1.1 million visitors, followed by Kazakhstan with 888,600 visitors.
To note, the number of foreign tourists who visited Uzbekistan from January through November 2024 amounted to 7.2 million people. This figure increased by 18.8 percent (1.1 million people) compared to the same period last year.
Meanwhile, among all countries, Kyrgyzstan accounted for the largest number of tourists who came to Uzbekistan during this period - more than 2.123 million people.
