TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, February 20. Uzbekistan welcomed a whopping 23,390 tourists from France in 2024.
According to data obtained by Trend from Uzbekistan's Statistics Agency, this represents an increase of 4,742 visitors compared to 2023.
Most visitors traveled for tourism (20,948), while others came to visit relatives (1,186), for business purposes (1,131), for commercial activities (67), or for education (58).
In 2024, Uzbekistan attracted 8.2 million foreign tourists, marking an increase of 1.8 million compared to 6.6 million visitors in 2023.
The largest groups of tourists were from neighboring countries, with citizens from Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, and Russia making up the majority of international visitors.
