BAKU, Azerbaijan, December 10. Iran's diesel production has increased to 124 million liters per day over the past 17 days (from November 21 through December 7, 2024), Trend reports, citing the Iranian Ministry of Oil.

Iran's daily diesel production averaged 111 million liters during the first five months of the current Iranian year (from March 20 through August 21, 2024).

This marks a slight decrease compared to the same period last year when daily diesel production was 113 million liters.

However, diesel production surged to 117 million liters per day from October 22 through November 20, reflecting an increase of 7 million liters daily.

Reportedly, the increase in diesel production is attributed to several key operations at Iran's Abadan Oil Refining Company, including the daily processing of an additional 100,000 barrels of crude oil at other refineries across the country.

Currently, Iran's 10 oil refineries process a total of 2.28 million barrels of crude oil and gas condensate daily. On average, Iran produces 115 million liters of gasoline each day.
