The State Railway Department of Azerbaijan (SRDA) restored small section of railway in the Tovuz region, damaged as a result of derailment of train, which was going from Georgia to Azerbaijan.
On Dec. 23, four carriages with bauxite of eight ones head for Ganja and Sumgayit derailed. Carriages belonged to the Georgian railway. There are not any losses of production in this incident.
The damaged section of the railway has already been repaired, it did not influence on train traffic.
The Georgian Railway did not incur losses. Certain problems were reported, but the Georgian side did not sustain damage.
Currently the special commission for technical inspection on movement security of SRDA investigates the reasons of the incident. All versions, in particular the malfunction of road, and also problem with trains are considered. During ten days, the commission will report the investigation, source said.
