The Georgian parliamentary committees of international relations and European integration have unanimously supported the candidacy of Gabriela Habsburg-Lothringen from the royal Habsburgs dynasty to the post of the Georgian Ambassador to Germany.
Approval of Habsburg-Lothringen's candidacy promotes development of the Georgia-Germany relations, chairman of the parliamentary international relations committee Akaki Minashvili said.
According to Minashvili, Habsburg-Lothringen has grand relations in the German society and political circles that may help Georgia on the path of the European integration.
Habsburg-Lothringen's candidacy was presented to the office of the Georgian parliament on Oct. 26.
Gabriela Habsburg-Lothringen was born in Luxemburg in 1956. She is a philosopher and art critic, as well as designer of several awards.
Since, 2001 till present Habsburg-Lothringen has given lectures at the Georgian Art Academy and at the Noyshtand summer academy. Since 2004, Gabriela Habsburg-Lothringen has given lectures in Bos Scheirene, and since 2005 - the Academy Bed Reichenhall.
