TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, August 8. A total of 1,650 MW of solar panels have been installed at 129,826 sites in Uzbekistan as of August 1, Trend reports via the country's Ministry of Energy.
The breakdown by sector is as follows:
- Social facilities: 376.9 MW installed across 19,904 sites;
- Business facilities: 885.4 MW at 29,678 locations;
- Residential properties: 361.1 MW at 78,140 private households;
- Apartment complexes: 26.6 MW across 2,104 buildings.
During the first seven months of 2025, these solar power systems generated 875 million kWh of electricity. This clean energy production contributed to saving 265 million cubic meters of natural gas and prevented the release of approximately 294,000 tons of harmful gases into the atmosphere.
