Neftchi Baku Football Club changed its president.
Sadig Sadigov, the head of Neftchi Sport and Health Center was appointed president of the club.
He replaced Akber Hajiyev who held this position for a year and half.
Today Hajiyev and Sadigov met with members of the team. New president was presented at the meeting. Hajiyev publicized the reasons of resignation, saying that he will always support the team.
"I had to make a choice because of much work.Given the importance of public assignment for the realization of new projects in Azerigas Production Association I decided to resign from the position of Neftchi football club president. Despite this, I will continue supporting the team. I will consider each of your success as mine," Hajiyev said.
During his speech Sadigov noted that respects not only players but to all sportsmen, and expressed his desire to create strong and united team.
"Being president of Neftchi is an honor for every Azerbaijani. I will do everything possible so that to remove possible problems. We must be united as one family to reach successful results," he said.
