BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 9. Azerbaijan produced 2.4 million square meters of construction glass from January through March of this year.
The data obtained by Trend from the State Statistics Committee shows that the production volume of construction glass decreased by 8.9 percent (231,100 square meters) compared to the same period in 2024.
As of April 1 of this year, finished product stocks for the above material amounted to 1.5 million square meters.
To note, the total production value of construction materials in Azerbaijan was 279.8 million manat ($164.2 million) in the first quarter of 2025, reflecting a 9.5 percent decrease compared to the same period last year.
During the period, manufacturing of natural asphalt decreased by 41.3 percent, gypsum products by 29.2 percent, concrete by 12.8 percent, and cement by four percent.
