BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 21. Azerbaijan imported a total of 767 electric vehicles from January through May 2025.
The data obtained by Trend from the State Customs Committee shows that the
expenditure associated with the procurement of this quantity of
electric vehicles totaled $25.7 million.
In juxtaposition to the corresponding timeframe of the preceding
year, this metric exhibited a decrement of 483 units, translating
to a contraction of 38.6 percent in volume, alongside a reduction
of $27.7 million, equating to a decline of 51.8 percent in monetary
value.
It is noteworthy that Azerbaijan has executed an importation of a
cumulative total of 42,786 vehicles during the period spanning from
January to May of the current fiscal year. The expenditure
associated with the importation of this quantity of vehicles
totaled $789.8 million.
