Iran's biggest companies produced 13.6 million tons of steel ingots from March 21 through November 21 of this Iranian year (began on March 21, 2019), Trend reports referring to the Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization.
In accordance with the statistics, steel production turnover increased by four percent from March 21 through November 21 of this Iranian year compared to the same period ast Iranian year.
According to the Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development & Renovation (IMIDRO), Mobarakeh Steel Company produced 6.28 million tons of steel ingots, Khouzestan steel company produced two million tons of steel ingots. and Esfahan Steel Company produced 1.6 million tons of steel ingots. These companies produced the biggest volume of steel ingots.
During the reporting period, big Iranian companies produced over 9.11 million tons of steel (fittings, steel layers, steel beams and so on). An increase of six percent occurred in the production of these products from March 21 through November 21 of this Iranian year compared to the same period of last year, IMIDRO said.
Iran’s big companies produced 18.3 million tons of iron ore from March 21 through November 21 of this Iranian year. In accordance with the statistics of last Iranian year, the production of these products increased by eight percent. The production of iron ore has reached 27.7 million tons, IMIDRO said.
Iran’s big companies produced 31.5 million tons of iron ore concentrate during the reporting period, IMIDRO said.
The production increased by eight percent from March 21 through November 21 of this Iranian year compared to last Iranian year. The production of iron ore and of steel granules reached 27.7 million tons.

Iran’s big steel companies produced 1.76 million tons of iron ore from October 23 to November 21, IMIDRO said. The production increased by six percent compared to last Iranian year. In total, IMIDRO increased iron ore production by 13 percent (2.33 million tons) from March 21 through November 21 of this Iranian year compared to the same period of last year.
“The production of iron ore concentrate increased by three percent (3.93 million tons), the production of steel granules by eight percent (3.37 million tons),” the company said.
The steel production decreased by four percent (1.06 million tons) from March 21 through November 21 of this Iranian year compared to last Iranian year, IMIDRO said.
