The total turnover of Azerbaijan's Baku Stock Exchange (BSE) dropped by 1.5 times and amounted to 667.3 million manat ($392.5 milliom) in January 2020, which is almost 2.3 times less compared to January 2019, Trend reports referring to the BSE’s data.
The turnover on the debt instrument market amounted to 614 million manat ($361.1 million), significantly decreasing by 36 percent since the beginning of 2020. In 2019, the volume of turnover dropped by 2.4 times.
The turnover on the stock market amounted to 143,400 manat ($84,352) in January 2019.
Since the beginning of 2020, the turnover on repo transactions has almost doubled and amounted to 53.2 million manat ($31.2 million) in August. Increase in repo transactions grew by 42.6 percent in 2019.
