The volume of freight traffic in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic of Azerbaijan amounted to roughly 925,500 tons in January 2021, which is 0.6 percent more compared to Jan. 2020, Trend reports citing the report of Nakhchivan’s State Statistical Committee.
In the specified month, the volume of cargo transportation in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic amounted to 920,300 tons.
As earlier reported, the foreign trade turnover of Nakhchivan in 2020 equaled $510.5 million, up by 2.7 percent compared to 2019.
In the structure of foreign trade turnover, Nakhchivan’s exports accounted for $428.5 million, thus having grown by 0.7 percent over the year.
At the same time, imports to Nakhchivan in 2020 reached $82 million, having grown by 14.7 percent on an annualized basis.
In 2020, the GDP of the republic amounted to 2.9 billion manat ($1.7 billion), which is 1.1 percent higher than in 2019.
