As part of his working visit to Pavlodar region Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev met with power engineers at Aksu Thermal Power Plant on Wednesday, Kazinform reported.
During the meeting the President said that during the last 20 years his work has been devoted to improving the lives of Kazakh citizens. Nursultan Nazarbayev stressed that thanks to the reforms and the stability of society it was possible to raise the economy of Kazakhstan.
"During the crisis Western countries have been reducing production. Kazakhstan, on the contrary, has launched new enterprises, created new jobs. The Aksu Thermal Power Plant sees improvements on its own example. Till 2019 the enterprise is planning to upgrade all eight power units," the President said.
Today, N. Nazarbayev is expected to visit JSC "Caustic" and Pavlodar tennis center.
