The incumbent Kyrgyz President Kurmanbek Bakiev was re-elected the head of state by garnering 76.4 percent of votes in the elections on July 23, Member of the Kyrgyz Central Election Commission (CEC) Toktogul Sultakeyev said.
The CEC official publicized the results of the elections on July 27.
"Over 1,700,000 people or 76.43 percent of electorates voted for Bakiev," Sultakeyev said.
