BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 9. Kyrgyz SotsAgro LLC poultry farm received new equipment worth 6.8 million soms ($85,534) from the US Agency for International Development, Trend reports citing the press service of the USAID.
With the support of the USAID, SotsAgro will be able to double its production capacity of high-quality poultry and animal feed, which is important for agricultural production in Kyrgyzstan.
"Previously, we used to have outdated manual equipment. The workflow for staff became easier once we installed new equipment, production increased dramatically, and the quality of our feed improved significantly," Director of SotsAgro poultry farm, Ermek Mamyrkanov, said.
From 12-15 metric tons per day, the farm now produces roughly 30-40 metric tons of feed per day. Moreover, increased volume of production is projected to lower prices to meet the demand of local farmers.
SotsAgro LLC, founded in 2012, is now one of the leading full-cycle poultry producers in Kyrgyzstan. Over 100 smallholder farmers supply the enterprise with inputs.
