BAKU, Azerbaijan, December 21. Uzbekistan imported $1.03 billion worth of natural gas from Turkmenistan from January through November 2022, Trend reports via Uzbek media outlets.
Uzbekistan ranks fourth in terms of Turkmen gas imports after China ($9.28 billion), Russia ($3.5 billion), and Myanmar ($1.29 billion).
In early December, Uzbekistan agreed on additional gas supplies from Turkmenistan.
Within 3 months, Uzbekistan will receive an additional 1.5 billion cubic meters of gas from Turkmenistan.
