TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, April 1. Uzbekistan's foreign trade turnover with the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) countries amounted to $2.5 billion from January through February 2024, Trend reports.
The data from Uzbekistan's Statistics Agency shows that exports amounted to $746.7 million and imports to $1.7 billion.
Foreign trade turnover with Russia amounted to $1.7 billion, Kazakhstan to $581.5 million, Kyrgyzstan to $98.3 million, Belarus to $90.6 million, and Armenia to $2.6 million.
The share in the total volume of foreign trade turnover amounted to 32.9 percent.
The EAEU member states (Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Armenia, and Kyrgyzstan) have formed a common economic territory with a single customs system that ensures freedom of movement of goods and services, movement of migrants, and movement of capital.
Meanwhile, Uzbekistan's foreign trade turnover with the EAEU countries reached $15.8 billion in 2023, of which exports amounted to $5.4 billion and imports to $10.4 billion.
In addition, the foreign trade turnover with the EAEU countries amounted to $1.13 billion in January 2024 alone.
