BAKU, Azerbaijan, December 2. The Business Chamber of Asian and Gulf Countries (BCAGC) has secured a new mandate to boost economic relations between Azerbaijan and Georgia, David Tsirdava, First Vice-President of BCAGC told Trend.

He pointed out that since its inception, the Business Chamber of Asian and Gulf Countries has regarded the Republic of Azerbaijan as a potential partner for cooperation, actively utilizing all available resources to pursue this goal.

“This includes targeted working visits to Baku, joint forums, ministerial meetings, and participation in events organized by the Azerbaijani Embassy in Georgia. Additionally, we organize numerous business meetings with representatives of the Azerbaijani business sector and business associations as part of joint business gatherings abroad.

Today, we are pleased to announce that our policy of fostering close economic cooperation and strengthening business ties between Azerbaijan and Georgia is now reinforced by a new mandate, which will provide us with enhanced opportunities and resources,” noted Tsirdava.

He noted that the Chamber of Commerce is honored to serve as the representative of the International Investment Consortium (IIC) and the International Commercial Bank (ICB) in the South Caucasus region, which includes Georgia, the Republic of Armenia, and the Republic of Azerbaijan.

“The International Investment Consortium Inc. (IIC) is an asset-based investment consortium focused on selecting projects and investing capital in target countries to promote social development and drive rapid economic growth. Currently, it operates in more than 67 countries worldwide. The International Commercial Bank (ICB) is actively expanding its network of correspondent banks globally to facilitate business and economic cooperation at the international level.

The representation of these organizations at this level provides us with additional opportunities to actively contribute to the strengthening of economic relations with Azerbaijan,” he added.

BCAGC brings together the nations of Asia and the Gulf—Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, and the Sultanate of Oman—along with small, medium, and large enterprises, as well as individuals interested in membership and investment opportunities in the South Caucasus region.

BCAGC focuses on attracting foreign investments, facilitating capital flows from Georgian companies into Asia and Gulf countries, building international connections, and strengthening existing business relationships. The Chamber aims to play a pivotal role in driving business development, fostering a global outlook, and identifying both challenges and opportunities in the regional market.

The Chamber operates under a comprehensive strategic framework, which outlines its mission, vision, growth strategies, and monitoring mechanisms, ensuring a structured and transparent approach to achieving its objectives.
