BAKU, Azerbaijan, December 4. Reconstruction work will be carried out on the Kohna Khangizi and R-O water canals in Azerbaijan, Trend reports via the unified e-government procurement portal.
According to the portal, the Directorate of Construction Objects of the State Agency for Water Resources of Azerbaijan has begun preparations for the work.
The organization has forecasted that the implementation of the specified work will cost 29.5 million manat ($17.3 million).
To note, the Kohna Khangizi canal was commissioned in 1933 for the irrigation of agricultural lands. The 64-kilometer-long canal runs through the territories of the Beylagan and Aghjabadi districts.
