Azerbaijan, Baku / corr Trend D.Khatinoglu / Moscow confirms its support to the Iranian nuclear activities, but in fact it tries to hinder the uranium enriching plans.

" Russia betrayed Iran for its own interests over the history," Jafar Muhammadi, an Iranian political expert said.

Russian President Vladimir Putin met with the religious leader of Iran, Khamnei. During the meeting Putin made a proposal to Tehran on the Iranian nuclear program, whereas the essence remains unknown, IRNA reported.

Russia has always supported Iran in words and always betrayed, Muhammadi said in telephone talk with Trend

"I guess Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov arrived in Tehran under the West's pressures so that to stop the Iranian nuclear program. Tehran seems to believe in Russia's support. Moscow has repeatedly left Iran without 'coat' before the West. Iranian officials, well aware of that, more probably took measures at any case.

Under the US pressures Russia is obliged to betray Iran, Alirza Nurizade, an Iranian political expert said in a telephone take with Trend from London. Iran is only a ground for the United States, which establishes the anti-defense system in East Europe, he stressed.

"Putin needs the western countries from the economic and political aspects. Now Russia demands secretly from Iran to stop the nuclear program and the Lavrov's [Russian Foreign Minister] visit to Iran was one the last steps in this direction," Nurizade said.

According to Muhammadi, the world community should believe in peace intention of the Iranian Nuclear program and accept it. The assimilation of the nuclear technique is necessary for the country. " Iran should master it to develop power engineering, agriculture and science. This is the right of Iranian people. The world agreed upon assimilation of nuclear technique by Pakistan, India, Isreal and other and will allow Iran, too. I hope for it," the political expert stressed.
