Azerbaijan, Baku, 29 February / Trend corr. I.Alizadeh / The Azerbaijani Parliamentary Commission will hold public hearing in connection with the state of human rights in the country.
"For this purpose, Azerbaijani Parliament and British NGO LINKS reached to an agreement. Similar hearings are frequently practiced in Europe and other countries," Rabiyat Aslanova, the chairman of the standing Parliamentary Commission on Human rights, stated.
According to Aslanova, the Commission on Human rights will analyze the materials collected by different experts and would listen to the position of citizens, lawyers and state officials.
"The key goal is to get familiarize with protection of human rights process, through the court system," he stated.
The Narimanov District Court of Baku was chosen as the apt place for holding the public hearings on the topic-'The experience of Narimanov District Court of Baku to consider appeals'.
The negotiations regarding the project have been held with the Justice Ministry and Supreme Court. Both the organizations supported the project.
"We invite all the citizens, NGOs, professional groups, entrepreneurs and other interested persons to express their opinion and proposals in written form on this topic 'The experience of Narimanov District Court of Baku to consider appeals' until 15 March," Aslanova stated.
