An Azerbaijani accused of killing a Russian citizen was sentenced today.
Israil Mustafayev was sentenced to eight years imprisonment by the Azerbaijani Heinous Crimes Court.
While living in Russia's city of Siktivkar, Mustafayev met with Viktor Gennadevich Shagin and started working with him at the Gamma Industry Construction Company.
He delivered a fatal stab wound to Shagin after an argument Dec. 13, 1995.
Mustafayev then fled to Moscow and later Yevlakh.
He was arrested Aug. 5 by the Yevlakh Regional Police Department.
