BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 25. The number of properties purchased by US citizens in Türkiye decreased from January through April 2023, Trend reports.
This figure amounted to 237, down by 174 on an annual basis.
In April 2023, US citizens purchased 48 properties in the country, which is 61 less year-on-year.
Totally, in April this year, 85,652 properties were sold in Türkiye, which is 35.6 percent less than in the same month of last year.
Moreover, in the first four months of the current year, 368,867 properties were sold in Türkiye, which is 18.6 percent less year-on-year.
In April 2023, 2,557 properties were sold to foreign citizens in the country, which is 60.3 percent less than in the same period of the preceding year.
Overall, from January through April this year, foreign citizens purchased 13,483 properties in Türkiye, which is 35.1 percent less year-on-year.
More than 1.48 million properties were sold in the country in 2022, of which 67,490 fell to foreign citizens.
