BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 12. Kazakhstan boosted its oil output by 70,000 barrels per day (b/d) to reach 1.52 million barrels per day (mb/d) in September 2024, according to data from S&P Global Commodity Insights, Trend reports.
This marks an increase in crude supply of 0.07 mb/d compared to August, when production was 1.45 mb/d.
Among the non-OPEC countries in the alliance, Kazakhstan's rise in output is primarily attributed to the major Tengiz field resuming operations after maintenance in early September, the research notes.
Currently, Kazakhstan's quota under the OPEC agreement is set at 1.440 mb/d.
For this year, Kazakhstan has planned an oil production target of 90.3 million tons.
