ASTANA, Kazakhstan, February 4. The quality of roadways has improved in Kazakhstan, said Bolatbek Aytbaev, Director General of the Republican State Enterprise "National Center for Quality of Road Assets," at a government meeting, Trend reports.

Bolatbek Aytbaev reported that by the end of 2024, the enterprise's quality expertise coverage for the national road network reached 100 percent, while for the local network it was 99 percent. A total of 47,000 material samples were tested. Instrumental inspections and diagnostics were conducted on 22,000 km of roadways.

"Overall, comparing the results of 2023-2024, there is a positive trend in the improvement of road quality. The volume of rework on non-compliant works decreased by 5 percent. Due to the medium repair works, the smoothness of the surface improved by 5 percent. These results were achieved thanks to timely decisions," noted Bolatbek Aytbaev.

Additionally, the coverage of the local network in Kazakhstan in 2023 was 89 percent, which increased to 99 percent in 2024. Additionally, the number of non-compliant road construction materials and defects decreased by 16 percent.
