BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 6. Azerbaijan's processing industry manufactured products and provided services worth 19.1 billion manat ($11.24 billion) in 2024.
Data obtained by Trend from the State Statistical Committee indicates that this figure grew by 1.06 billion manat ($620 million) or 5.9 percent from 2023 (18.04 billion manat or $10.61 billion).
The manufacturing value of petroleum products in the processing industry amounted to 4.7 billion manat ($2.75 billion), marking a rise of 200 million manat ($120 million) or 4.8 percent compared to the previous year (4.5 billion manat or $2.65 billion).
The second-largest production was recorded in the food sector (4.6 billion manat or $2.7 billion), which is 100 million manat ($59 million) or 3.3 percent more than in 2023 (4.5 billion manat or $2.65 billion).
The third-largest production value was in the chemical industry (1.55 billion manat or $915 million), up six million manat ($3.5 million) or 0.4 percent year on year.
Additionally, the production dynamics in the processing industry was 2.2 percent, and in the non-oil processing industry - 10.3 percent in 2024.
