TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, April 21. Starting from May 1, 2025, Uzbekistan will tighten regulations on duty-free imports of goods, Trend reports, via the National Database of Legislation of Uzbekistan.

Under the new rules, the duty-free threshold for air passengers will be reduced from $2,000 to $1,000. For travelers arriving by rail, the limit will be halved from $1,000 to $500. A new monthly cap of $200 will be introduced for receiving international courier shipments duty-free — a change from the current quarterly limit of $1,000.

Individuals entering Uzbekistan by car or on foot will be allowed to bring in goods worth up to $300 without paying customs duties.

The limit for goods received via international postal services will remain unchanged.
