ASTANA, Kazakhstan, April 30. The first batch of Kazakh grain has been dispatched to the Kingdom of Morocco from the Zhana-Yesyil station (Akmola branch of Kazakhstan) and the Sarykol station (Kostanay branch of Kazakhstan), Trend reports via Kazakhstan Railways.
According to information, 105 wagons with grain are being transported by rail through Latvia. The grain will be reloaded to sea vessels in the port of Liepaja and delivered to the North African coast.
"Kazakhstan Railways is efficiently processing transport requests and ensuring logistics," the company noted.
Kazakhstan Railways also reported that a total of 17 train convoys, loaded with grain produced in the northern region of the country, are planned for this route. The total grain volume will amount to 60,000 tons.
