BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 2. The volume of business loans granted to the agricultural sector by banks operating in Azerbaijan reached 1.81 billion manat ($1.07 billion) as of late April this year.
The data obtained by Trend from the Central Bank of Azerbaijan shows that
this metric escalated by 6.8 million manat ($4 million) or 0.4
percent relative to the conclusion of the preceding month (1.8
billion manat, or $1.06 billion).
At the conclusion of April 2025, the aggregate business loan
portfolio for banking institutions within Azerbaijan reached a
substantial 14.95 billion manat (equivalent to $8.8 billion),
reflecting an incremental increase of 17.7 million manat
(approximately $10.4 million), or a marginal uptick of 0.12 percent
relative to the preceding month’s figures.
As of the conclusion of March 2025, the financial institution's
commercial credit portfolio in Azerbaijan was quantified at 14.9
billion manat, approximating $8.8 billion.
A total of 984.7 million manat ($581 million) within the overall
business loan portfolio was constituted by loans generated through
the facilitation of state funding mechanisms.
