BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 31. The volume of business loans granted to the trade facilities by banks operating in Azerbaijan reached 4.21 billion manat ($2.47 billion) as of late April this year.
The data obtained by Trend from the Central Bank of Azerbaijan shows that
the metric experienced a contraction of 12 million manat ($7
million), reflecting a decrement of 0.3 percent relative to the
terminal point of the preceding month, which stood at 4.22 billion
manat, or $2.48 billion.
At the conclusion of April 2025, the aggregate business loan
portfolio of banking institutions in Azerbaijan reached a
substantial 14.95 billion manat (equivalent to $8.8 billion),
reflecting an incremental increase of 17.7 million manat ($10.4
million), or a marginal uptick of 0.12 percent relative to the
preceding month's figures.
As of the conclusion of March 2025, the financial institution's
commercial credit portfolio within the Azerbaijani banking sector
was recorded at 14.9 billion manat, equating to approximately $8.8
billion.
Within the comprehensive business loan portfolio, a substantial
984.7 million manat (equivalent to $581 million) was constituted by
loans underpinned by state funding mechanisms.
