BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 8. The budget expenditures of Azerbaijan's Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic amounted to 203.2 million manat ($119.9 million) in the first six months of this year, which is 84.4 percent of the forecast for the period.
The data obtained by Trend from the Chamber of Accounts' six-month analysis on Nakhchivan’s budget execution shows that during the reporting period, the amount of expenditure executed under all sections of the functional classification in the budget was below the forecast.
The significantly low execution rate during the reporting period indicates that projects related to the capital repair of roads, buildings, and other structures, as well as construction-infrastructure projects in general, were either not implemented or were delayed.
At the same time, for the first half of 2025, 3.5 million manat ($2.07 million) was forecasted for the reserve fund of Nakhchivan, and based on decrees adopted during the reporting period, 3.2 million manat ($1.88 million) were allocated across 34 directions. Of this amount, 52.3 percent was executed in the reporting period.
"The volume of money used from the reserve fund remained within the limits defined by legislation," the analysis emphasized.
